Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This policy explains how Premise AI, a product of VinceLabs based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, handles information. Premise AI is built to keep data in the user's browser and has no application server that stores user content.
1. Information handled in the browser
The service stores the following in the browser's local storage, on the user's own device:
- the theme preference;
- the AI provider API key, if one is added;
- the selected model;
- reports that have been generated.
This information remains on the device and can be removed at any time, either by removing the key in settings or by clearing browser storage.
2. Information sent to the AI provider
When a live analysis is run, the described idea and the analysis prompt are sent directly from the browser to the chosen AI provider's API (Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or a custom endpoint), using the user's own key. That processing is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy. VinceLabs does not receive a copy of this content.
3. Contact by email
The service offers options to request a sample or contact VinceLabs by email. When one of these options is chosen, an email is composed in the user's own mail application and addressed to VinceLabs. Information included in that email reaches VinceLabs only when the user chooses to send it, and is used only to respond to the request.
4. Analytics
The service records basic interaction events in the page's data layer for product measurement. These events do not include the content of an idea or a report. The service does not set advertising cookies and does not sell personal information.
5. Data retention and control
Because data is stored locally, retention is controlled by the user. Removing the key in settings deletes it from the browser. Clearing browser storage removes stored reports and preferences. Email correspondence is retained by VinceLabs only as long as needed to address the request.
6. Security
The API key is never transmitted to VinceLabs and is sent only to the chosen AI provider over an encrypted connection. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
7. Canadian privacy law
VinceLabs operates from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Handling of personal information is intended to align with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Individuals in other regions remain responsible for compliance with local requirements when using the service.
8. Children
The service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children.
9. Requests and rights
Subject to applicable law, an individual may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by VinceLabs. Because idea and report content is stored locally rather than on a VinceLabs server, that content is managed directly by the user on the device. Requests can be directed to the contact below.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes are reflected by the date above.
